Tom hingley, the former lead singer of Manchester band Inspiral Carpets, Plays his only south of England show this year at The Rainham Platform 3 Club, at The Oast Community Centre in Rainham Kent.
Tom sang on all The Inspiral Carpets major label albums and all hit singles.
Tom will perform with full band The Karpets
This is Tom Hingley’s only show in Kent this year. In Fact it is his only gig in the southern England this year, so don’t miss out on this special intimate performance here at The Rainham Platform 3 Club, Kent.
The club is right next to Rainham (Kent) train station on the southeastern line that serves London Victoria to Ramsgate.
The KarPets/an Inspiral Carpets tribute band, with a notable difference from other tributes in that they feature former lead singer of the Inspirals, Tom Hingley, a member of the Inspiral Carpets from 1989 to 2011 and sang on all the bands hits and four albums. With With Tom Hingley at the helm the Karpets are made up of Dickon on farfisa duties, Philip on guitar, Ste on bass and Malcolm on drums. The Kar-Pets will be performing songs from the 30+ years of the Inspiral Carpets including the hits, such as This Is How It Feels, Dragging Me Down and Saturn Five as well as a selection of cover versions such as Gimme Shelter and Tainted Love
Support will come from local band The Pastel Waves.
The Pastel Waves are a Medway-based indie band who fuse their collective influences of New Wave, Indie and Brit Pop.
