Steve Bailey & The Blue Flames feat. Dee
Steve is considered by many to be one of the region’s elite blues harp players. Add to that his skills on rhythm, slide and lead guitar, songwriting talents and outstanding showmanship, and then back him with top area players and you have the real deal blues band.
Steve has numerous awards from the Washington Blues Society, including “Best Harmonica”, “Best Band” and in 2015 the “Hall of Fame Blues Band” award, one of the few bands honored in this special category. In 2025, Steve has been nominated for Hall of Fame-both individual and for the band and Best Traditional Blues Band.
As for the Blue Flames, with over a dozen albums to their credit the band can draw on a vast repertoire of hard-hitting danceable material. His current band features Steve Blood on guitar and Ray Hartman on bass--all veteran top-flight musicians with featured vocalist, Dee.
