We are hosting the visit of Taiwanese musicians Shih-Yang Lee 李世揚 - Piano 鋼琴, Fan-Qi Wu 吳凡棋 - Pipa 琵琶, Hsiao-Feng Lin 林小楓 - Dizi 笛子, and visual artist Li Tung 董籬 in May of 2025. On May 2, acclaimed Sunshine Coast musicians join the guest artists at xwesam-Roberts Creek Hall for an evening of performances and improvisations. On May 3, the Guest Artists meet the Vancouver 8EAST Collective in impromptu groupings. The Spring Free Marathon brings together over 20 musicians on May 4 at 8EAST in an evening of non-stop improvisation. There will be a participatory improvisation workshop for musicians of all levels of experience the afternoon of May 3, from 2 – 3:30 pm, facilitated by the Taiwanese guests.

The xwesam-Roberts Creek Hall is accessible to individuals who use mobility devices (accessible parking spot, ramp, and bathroom). Lighting can be adjusted upon request for individuals with light sensitivities. A Naloxone kit is kept on the premises.
