Orchid Orchestra is a Vancouver-based indie pop band blending hip-hop, choral harmonies, and theatrical storytelling into a sound that is both bold and deeply vulnerable.

Fronted by Rupert Hudson, whose journey spans England, Calgary, and South Carolina, the band’s music explores self-acceptance, grief, and connection with raw honesty.

After years in the industry—including touring alongside Chance The Rapper’s camp—Rupert took a two-year break at a Vipassana Meditation Centre, followed by a summer as a fire lookout, deepening his artistic perspective.

The band formed at Vancouver’s Chorus Studio, a hub for community and creativity, and quickly became a fixture in the local scene, playing festivals and headlining venues like The Biltmore.

Their second EP, Be Lucky, featuring the standout single “Nothing”, showcases their dynamic, immersive sound—music that inspires deep feeling, self-reflection, and hope in a world that needs it most.
