General Custer and the Almost Fatal Gettysburg Charge

On July 2, 1863, Gen. Custer fought Gen. Hampton Wade in the Battle of Hunterstown Road. This little-known battle resulted in the Confederate Cavalry being defeated and retreating back into Gettysburg. Ever reckless on the field, Custer is almost killed. Learn the “real” story of this second day battle at Gettysburg.

Ticket reservations required and now available. Gate opens at 5:30 p.m. for ticket holders to explore the historic site. The program takes place in the restored historic barn.
