Join the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society on Saturday, July 19th for our summer event, “At Ease with the Eisenhower Society” held this year at the World War II American Experience Museum, 845 Crooked Creek Road, Gettysburg.
Our theme this year is Ike, Mamie and World War II. Enjoy food, fun, entertainment, World War II programs and trivia. Come dressed in your best World War II attire, or come in comfortable clothing, your option. Visit the museum exhibits, look inside a tank, stroll the grounds to look at period vehicles, attend a park ranger program entitled, “Ike and Monty: Two Proud Generals” or just chat with friends. Play Trivia with your tablemates, win door prizes or listen to 1940s music and maybe dance a little.
The Ragged Edge Coffee House of Gettysburg will cater for our dinner with their delicious Angus beef sliders, pulled chicken in Ike’s barbecue sauce, baked beans, fresh garden salad, potato salad, ice tea, lemonade and Mamie’s apple pie. Please let us know if you want a vegetarian entrée. There will be a surprise favor for each attendee. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as well.
Registration begins at 4 p.m. or a little earlier if you want to spend more time in the museum. Prices are $45.00 a person or $270.00 for a reserved table of six. The last opportunity to purchase tickets is Monday, July 14th at 12 noon.
If you have questions, please call the Society at 717-398-2349 or email
