In this third installment of GCT's newest quarterly tradition we welcome comedians Malcolm Castle, Jae Henderson, Sanjay Manaktala and Charlie Vergos to the stage. Each of these hilarious stand up acts have traveled the country and won accolades for their work. Now you can enjoy big city entertainment in the comfort of our intimate theatre!

COMEDIAN BIOs:
Charlie Vergos (headliner) - Having grown up working in his folks’ Memphis barbecue restaurant and speaking with a sly drawl, Charlie Vergos is obviously a Southern comedian. But his curious mind, ADD-digressions, sometimes piano playing, and wandering years spent in the comedy scenes of Memphis, New Orleans, Cape Town, Chicago, Brooklyn, and now Memphis again have developed his act into a high-brow/low-brow rambling far more colorful than presenting himself as a simple regional cartoon. Charlie began stand-up in 2009 and has since worked at The Onion and been invited to perform at several festivals, including Limestone, Laughing Skull, 10,000 Laughs, among several others, and did a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022. He’s performed at clubs and DIY venues in 78 cities, 32 states, and 5 countries, including shows opening for Kyle Kinane, James Austin Johnson, Mary Mack, Billy Wayne Davis, Geoff Asmus, and Sam Tallent, among others. His debut album , “Barbecue Rich” debuted at #1 on Apple Music in June 2020. @cvergos
Sanjay Manaktala - has performed comedy all over the world, has been featured on CNN, BBC, Buzzfeed and regularly appears at shows throughout the US. @sanjaycomedy
Jae Henderson - Hailing from Memphis, Jae began doing comedy after completing LaToya Tennille's Women In Comedy Boot Camp. What began as a bucket list one-time let me-see-if-I-can-do-this event has now grown into a budding career. She’s performed several times in TN, AR, MS, and GA, and participated in the Let’s Book comedy competition in Canton, MI. Jae has also performed in Kenan Thompson's Your Vote Their Voice showcase at Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club and Drai's Comedy Club in Las Vegas. She's shared the stage with funny favorites such as Shang, Henry Coleman, Tony Tone & Gerald Kelly. As a former writer for the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, Jae knows how to deliver a punchline. It's no wonder she was nominated for the 2024 Up & Coming Comic Award by the Memphis Urban Laughs Comedy Festival. Jae believes that laughter is temporary relief from all that ails you and she’s glad to administer her happy medicine to all who need a dose. @whatdidjaesay
Malcolm Castle - is from a small town in Kentucky, but has big city dreams which brought him to Memphis. He hit the ground running starting in the comedy scene as soon as he arrived in January 2024. Since then he has worked his way through the open mic scene building his material and love for the city. He has seen Shane Gillis and Bobcat Goldthwait live! @malcolm_castle_comedy
Zach Williams (host) -is based in Memphis, TN where he host Bell Curve comedy, a weekly open mic and co-produces the High Cotton Comedy Show. In addition to performing in cities around the mid-south, he has also performed at the 2024 Memphis Urban Laughs Comedy Festival, the 2025 Blue Ridge Comedy Festival, the 2025 B4UDIE Festival, and the Good Vibes Comedy Festival. His comedy has been described as dark and subversive, but mostly it’s just puns.
