Greg Marsh invited three local singer-songwriter friends to join him at his beach place for a few days to golf during the day and swap their songs at night. Golfing was fun, but the music was even more fun. They put together a show this past October at Out of the Way Cafe and were invited to perform at the Second Saturday Concert Series at Donoharm Farm on May 10th. We all know what’s happened since October. So the Bogey Boys have decided to dedicate their tip jar to Invisible Montgomery. They will be joined by a new songwriter duo, The Lashes who will open the show. Here’s some specifics:

Who are The Bogey Boys?

At age 17, Greg Marsh penned his first song lyrics; he has since written well over 100 songs covering topics from the serious to the whimsical. Greg's music, which can be heard on his 2022 album, "Thinkin'," reflects the influence of artists like John Prine, Neil Young, Bob Marley and Tom Lehrer, and bands like the Grateful Dead, Little Feat and the Allman Brothers. Greg performs internationally and locally with his wife Lisa (The Marsh Lovers), The Marsh Brothers Band, the Bogey Boys and Voices 3.

John Trupp is a musician, songwriter, producer, and all around family man. He has worked with many notable artists throughout his career, contributing his skills to a wide range of projects. John has won numerous awards for the many albums and projects he’s been a part of and has had original songs placed in movies and major television . He has been fortunate to perform many thousands of concerts on many of the east coasts finest stages. Currently, John performs with numerous acts playing the better venues and festivals of the region. John is a member of the Recording Academy (The Grammys) and does a significant amount of studio work as a musician and producer, hosts and promotes concerts, and develops new talent in the region. And let’s not forget, John is still the unofficial mayor of Derwood.

Stephen is a lead vocalist/multi-instrumentalist who has fronted blues rock bands including

Almost Blue and The Crossing.
In 2022 he released his first EP, entitled Messenger, and released his follow up EP, entitled Somewhere In Time, in 2024. In 2025, he released a single, entitled Snapshots, a heartwarming song about his memories of his daughter growing up.

Stephen has also played harmonica on numerous albums of other musicians and bands.

Rob is an award-winning local singer-songwriter whose song, Army of Devils, won the Grand Prize Silver in the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. His latest album, Because of You, was a WAMMIE award finalist for best Americana/Country album in 2022. Rob’s body of work now includes two 10-song albums and two singles. Along with the Bogey Boys, Rob plays with the Gould Standard. Rob started writing his own songs in 2010. He says that if he knew how great connecting to people through his music would be, he would have started sooner.

The Donoharm Farm MC, Rich Battaglia, has been helping put together and help our fabulous hosts, Allan and Kim Black, put together the Second Saturday concert gatherings at the farm for over 4 years now. As a member (in good standing!) of the 40 year old Reston Herndon Folk club, Rich has access to and perfroms with a group of outstanding local musicians. Below is his brand new YouTube link:
