Sensory Processing Workshop For Parents
Difficulties interpreting information from sight, sound, touch, taste, smell & movement can affect our:
Daily activities & learning… Relationships… Emotions & behaviour
Ever wonder why some children:
- Are excessive risk takers- jumping & crashing into anything they can?
- Will cry or cover their ears with every loud sound- even vacuums, toilets or hairdryers?
- Will only eat macaroni & cheese & pizza?
- Will only wear certain clothes or need you to cut tags out of their shirts?
- Won’t put their hands in anything messy or use glue, play-dough, or play with mud?
- Crowded stores bother them so much leading to major meltdowns in public places?
At this workshop, parents will develop an understanding of:
✓ What sensory processing is
✓ What it means to have difficulties with sensory processing
✓ What do sensory processing difficulties look like
✓ What we can do to help
