The Georgetown Heritage Center & Cultural Arts Program is pleased to bring back our annual Plein Air event in vintage, picturesque, Georgetown on July 28th and 29th, 2023. A charming town of colorful Victorian buildings ringed by mountain views, Georgetown has long been a favorite of artists.
This year's event coincides with our ongoing Mountain Jams festival and is held in concert with Historic Georgetown, Inc's Painted Ladies and Victorian Secrets - Historic Home Tour. Artists will be painting outdoors the weekend of the 25h-26th throughout Georgetown and the Georgetown-Silver Plume Historic District. The historic house tour takes place on the 29th and features 8 private homes, historic churches, museums, and a private Victorian-style garden.
Live music on the 29th begins with the Mountain Jams free concert in downtown Georgetown, and continues into the night at the Plein Air gallery opening and reception at the beautifully restored Old School starting at 4:00. The reception is open to the public and provides an opportunity to meet the artists and view and purchase completed works. Drinks and meal options will be available for purchase to be enjoyed al-fresco along with the music on our patio.
All artworks are will remain on display and available for sale in the two weeks following the event. All art lovers welcome!
