OUR APPROACH
Our approach to Contact Improvisation oscillates between the commitment
to the initial scope of Cl as improvised movement research and curiosity for
further experimenting, rethinking, exploring, and questioning of the form.In
our approach the richness of Contact Improvisation comes from the
diversity of practitioners. We invite everyone to join the dance -no matter
the level of physical skills, movement experience, abilities, etc. We believe
that the practice can be enriching both for professional dancers and for
those, who don't have any formal training.
Practicing movement improvisation releases the old habits and opens
possibilities for the vast world of self-inquiry.Our bodies and movement are
shaped by the frames of the societies that form a system of responding to
ourselves, others, and the environment. When practicing improvisation in
the supportive environment, the movers are encouraged to try new ways of
moving and relating, which cultivate creativity, build the sense of one's
identity, and grow skills of creating authentic social relations.
