Met "Minimal Jazz" slaat Zool. (aka Fred Angst/Gerry Vergult) weer een nieuw pad in op zijn nooit eindigende zoektocht naar avontuurlijke muziek.

Waarom "'Minimal jazz''?

Wel, omdat er geen sax of contrabas aan te pas komt en ook geen Cmaj7sus5dim9 akkoorden!! Maar het is wel degelijk jazz. De nummers zijn tot stand gekomen door middel van vrije improvisatie. Zodoende hebben de nummers ook geen vaste structuur. En verschillen ze dus bij elke uitvoering. Wat er uiteindelijk te horen valt is een momentopname.
