Bachata is more than just a dance, it’s a celebration of culture, music, and connection, born in the heart of the Dominican Republic. Dominican-style Bachata is famous for its rhythmic footwork with quick changes of direction and small body isolations, giving it an authentic, energetic flair that invites you to move. Now it’s your turn to feel the rhythm!
Join the PhD Community UGent for a Dominican-style Bachata workshop led by an amazing instructor Rosa who will guide you through the authentic moves and soulful music of Bachata, and socials dancing afterwards.
📆 Evening Program – 21st August (Thur):
💃7:00 PM: Beginner-friendly workshop, no experience needed, just bring your energy!
🕺8:00 PM: Want more? Stick around for an advanced session hosted by the instructor, to spice up your steps; or take a break and grab a drink across the street at Monterey bar.
🪩9:00 PM: We all come together for social dancing and good vibes at the bar & Kiosk!
