Barwon River Expedition
Kayak your socks off!
We will be paddling approximately 9 km along the Barwon River in Geelong, from Gun Dog Lane to Fyansford Common Boat Launch, stopping for lunch along the way (please bring your own lunch). There is a shuttle leaving from Fyansford Common at 9:00 am for anyone who wants to leave their car at the end point.
Led by experienced kayaking instructor/s who will keep you safe and happy on the water you are sure to have a day to remember while you enjoy the company of friends new and old.

Meeting Point for car shuttle: Fyansford Common (9:00 am)
Meeting Point for drop offs: Gun Dog Lane (9:30am)
Pick Up Point: Fyansford Common (3pm)
Length: 6 hours
Who: Anyone with the fitness to sustain activity for 6 hours with breaks
Cost: $97
Craft: Single sit on top kayaks (sit ins available for anyone who has completed their flip out test ) Weight limit of all craft 130kg.
What you need to bring:
Personal medication, spare warm jumper/jacket, lunch and snacks, full water bottle.
What you need to wear:
Clothing appropriate to the conditions, e.g. multiple layers to manage body temperature changes as we paddle. Sun hat, sun glasses and sunscreen.
What is included:
Minibus shuttle to start location, experienced and friendly kayak guide, kayak, paddle, dry bag and PFD for use during trip and the opportunity to spend the day on the water in awesome company with like-minded people.
Please be aware that we take safety seriously and this event may be cancelled or postponed due to severe weather or other conditions outside our control.
