Reading & Writing Hell, & Villanelle

Is the beginning of a writing day challenging for you, to approach or continue “sound” work? Is the getting down to flow with prompts or work(s) in progress problematic? Whilst Kerryn Tredrea doesn’t have all the answers, she has some exercises that may soften the engagement into writing more freely. In the middle section of the workshop, Kerryn will put forward the secrets to writing in a set form: the villanelle format. In the final phase, the idea of presenting in an open mike or slam opportunities.

Kerryn has been haunting the spoken word scene as a performer and gig organiser for many years. With a childhood love of poetry, she sometimes explores form poetry in her work, especially ones known for their dark themes and repetition. With spare moments aside, Kerryn is a helpful member of Paroxysm Press.
