Art Kintsugi Introductory workshop

We're very excited to be able to bring you Art Kintsugi Introductory workshop! It will be delivered by the well known artist Yoko Kawada on the 19th of June at 6.15pm at the gallery.

Kintsugi is a century-old Japanese craft where broken ceramic objects are pieced back together, using ancient Urushi lacquer and gold dust, based on the philosophy of
Wabi Sabi finding beauty in imperfection.

The process transforms much loved worn or broken items into a beautifully crafted new piece of art. It is a chance to live a more sustainable way, and to rescue objects which would otherwise be discarded.
