"The Old Place" Group Shoot

Great opportunity for a group shoot at a beautiful location, often used for a wedding venue and other events. We've been graciously granted access to this property and it promises some beautiful photos. Models, you will want to dress it up for this one. The grounds are shaded with huge oaks, and a view of the water is in the background. The old house offers a "time past" esthetic. Photographers, invite some of your favorite models to join us! The owner only requested that we clean up after ourselves!

As always, the following "rules" apply:
1. MGCPC Group Shoots are club events. Your behavior represents the club. We stress positive, healthy interaction. It’s a time to practice professionalism in your craft.
2. We encourage networking. Group Shoots can lead to private, individual photo shoots. To that end, take the opportunity to set up your own shoots. DO NOT, however, capture either a model or a photographer for your own during a group shoot. Give others an opportunity to shoot.
3. Group Shoots are usually attended by both experienced and inexperienced photographers and models. We encourage everyone to share the photography opportunity with everyone else. We also encourage photographers to supply models with at least a few photos (generally, high-res JPGs, which may, or may not, be edited). We realize that this cannot be a hard and fast rule, simply because inexperienced photographers may not think they produced anything they want to share. Experienced photographers may not think a particular model gave them anything they want to keep. While providing photos is encouraged, models must understand that you may, or may not receive photos from every photographer. Most likely, models will receive photos from the shoot, but not from every photographer.
4. MGCPC Group Shoots are “family-friendly”. We often have under-age models, so there will be no nude, risqué, or implied nude photography. Photographers and models are free to schedule private shoots, but we must ask everyone to abide by this rule.
5. DO NOT use the opportunity afforded by MGCPC Group Shoots to criticize, or in any way express negative or hurtful comments about others. This includes any public media, social media, etc. Sharing negative comments about others will ensure that you will not be invited to future events.
6. MGCPC Group Shoots are intended to be fun, educational events. We want everyone to have a good time. We want those who attend to find the opportunity to learn, develop skills, try something new, and more. Usually, there are plenty of experienced photographers and models who are willing to help those with less experience. If you want to learn something, ask someone. If you are an experienced photographer or model, be willing to help someone.
7. MGCPC Group Shoots are sometimes held at private locations. Refrain from moving furniture, etc., unless you get permission from the owner, or those hosting the event.
8. Whether you are a photographer or model, treat Group Shoots like they are professional events. Be your best. This helps insure the best experience for everyone.
9. MGCPC Group Shoots will always have a host. This is the person who usually set up the shoot, secured the location, and planned the event. If you have any questions, seek out that person.
10. The regular MGCPC Facebook page allows posting five photos daily. However, when a Group Shoot is organized and posted, that event will have its own page. You may post as many photos daily there as you wish. It’s a great place to share photos of the event.
11. Photographers and Models attending this event are agreeing to a TFP (trade/time for photos) type exchange. Photographers will retain ownership of their work and be allowed to share the photos they take of any model at the event. Models will be allowed to use the photos taken of them for their portfolios, to share with friends and family, and to repost on social media.
12. Any MGCPC member may set up and organize a Group Shoot. However, every shoot must include these “rules” and abide by these and anything else that may be required by the Group Administrators.
13. The purpose of this list of “rules” is to make sure everyone has a fun, enjoyable time, and that ample opportunity is provided to learn and grow. This happens best in a positive atmosphere, where everyone is willing to help others. Please attend with this overall purpose in mind.
