Get your hands muddy and make something you’ll use every single day! In this handbuilding butter dish workshop, you’ll design and create a one-of-a-kind ceramic butter dish from clay!
We’ll guide you step-by-step through simple handbuilding techniques to form the base and lid, add handles or decorative details, and personalize your piece with texture, patterns, or stamped designs. Whether your style is modern, rustic, or a little quirky, your butter dish will be completely unique.
Optional Add-On: You’ll also have the option to create a handmade ceramic garlic grater during the workshop for $20 more — the perfect companion piece for your kitchen or a great gift!
BYOB and make it a fun, relaxed afternoon out while you create. Sip, sculpt, and enjoy the process in a laid-back, creative atmosphere.
After building, you’ll choose from a selection of beautiful glazes, and we’ll handle the firing. Your finished butter dish will be food-safe, functional, and ready to live on your counter (because cute butter deserves to be seen, not hidden in the fridge).

Please note that we do not offer refunds for workshops. With at least 72 hours’ notice, we are happy to provide credit toward a future workshop. While we take great care with every piece, accidents can and do happen during the drying and firing process. In the event of a loss, you will be invited back during open studio time to remake your piece. Finished pieces are typically ready for pickup 3–4 weeks after the workshop.
