Wave Yoga Retreats is female owned and operated, specializing in yoga and wellness retreats in stunning destinations all around the globe.

Our mission is to bring together people of all walks of life to cultivate meaningful connection through immersive yoga and travel experiences at an affordable price. Our retreats are for everyone, from those curious about yoga to seasoned practitioners and teachers. At Wave we encourage you to curate your own adventure, so no matter where you are you can choose from a variety of styles of yoga classes, workshops, excursions, and cultural experiences. As part of our mission to make yoga and travel more accessible, we offer full and partial scholarships on all of our retreats.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After our opening ceremony on night one, each morning there will be one energizing vinyasa class, at least one workshop offered midday, and a restorative or yin yoga class offered each evening. You are welcome to attend as many or as few classes as you would like. Make it yours! Our workshops will explore many different aspects of yoga asana, philosophy, meditation, chakras and the subtle bodies, and so much more.

In addition to all of the yoga offerings, we’ll enjoy a number of excursions together, including a hike up the famous “stairway to heaven” on Pico de Ariero.

Additionally, we’ll be able to experience Madeira’s yearly Flower Festival celebration to welcome spring.

We’ll explore the incredible local cuisine through exploring the city of Funchal and surrounding towns, along with meals prepared by our private chef.

THE PROPERTY

Our stunning villa in Gaula is located just outside of Funchal, Madeira. Our private Villa is nestled on the coastline of the island, with stairs to walk down to the water. We’ll practice yoga on the gorgeous outdoor You can say goodbye to crowds while you’re here, and have the chance to venture off the beaten path to a place of total serenity & nourishment.

We will enjoy three delicious meals a day, prepared by our private chef with some meals out at local markets and restaurants. Our chef will ensure you stay satisfied, fueled, and revitalized throughout your stay.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Stunning oceanfront accomodations, three healthy meals a day, and all yoga classes and workshops, and multiple excursions and experiences are included in your investment.

Your flight and transportation to the venue from the airport are not included and must be booked separately, but we would be happy to assist in arranging your transportation.

We will have plenty of yoga mats and blocks available to use for free, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS

Your retreat hosts Julia Morrison and Megan Mulrine.

• Julia, founder of Wave Yoga Retreats, teaches many styles of yoga, from hot power vinyasa to meditation and yin yoga. Julia's teaching style involves creative sequencing with a focus on the union of the mind and body through the breath. Julia trained with Megan Mulrine of the Niantic Yoga Studio and continues to study yogic philosophy with her. Julia currently teaches at Niantic Yoga and Soul Sweat Yoga Studios,.
• Megan teaches many styles of yoga and meditation, and spent 8 years living in Bali, Indonesia studying yoga philosophy in the Balinese Hindu tradition. Megan's classes are supportive and accessible for all experience levels, and she loves weaving the stories of the gods into her vinyasa classes. Megan is the owner of Niantic Yoga Studio and founder of YogaTrotter Academy, where she leads yoga teacher trainings both in the US and abroad.

PRICING

SHARED ROOM - $2,350

• All inclusive package for a single bed for one person in a shared room with one or two other individuals. If you are traveling with a friend we’d be happy to place you in a room together if space allows.

PRIVATE ROOM - $3500

• All inclusive package for a private room for one person in a double bed.

COUPLES PACKAGE

• couples may book a private room for $3000 per person, or $6000 total for a private double bed
  
  PAYMENT PLAN AVAILABLE

• $500 deposit due at time of booking to reserve your spot.
• $1000 due December 1, 2024
• Remaining balance due February 1, 2025

We are flexible with payment plans, please reach out to us for a custom or monthly plan if that will be more accessible.
