Side By Side Arts will be running a series of small workshops which incorporate play and music. The sessions and times can be found below.

Boomwhackers

Discover the Joy of Music with Boomwhackers!
Join us for a fun, hands-on session where children can explore rhythm and melody using colourful Boomwhackers, musical tubes that make learning music exciting and easy! No experience or musical background is needed, just bring your curiosity and energy. Together, we’ll create simple tunes, learn to play popular songs, and experience how teamwork and rhythm make music come alive. It’s the perfect way to spark a lifelong love of music through play and creativity!
Circus Play

Roll Up for Some Circus Fun!
Step right up and join our playful parent and child circus session. A wonderful chance to learn new skills, laugh together, and get moving! Using colourful circus toys like scarves, spinning plates, diablos, and juggling balls, children can explore balance, coordination, and creativity in a fun, supportive environment. No experience is needed, it’s all about having fun, learning together, and discovering the joy of play through circus magic!
Ukelele

Strum Along with Ukulele Fun!
Join us for a lively ukulele session where children can discover the joy of making music in a fun and friendly setting! With easy to follow guidance, they’ll learn simple chords, explore rhythms, and play along to well-known songs. No prior experience needed. It’s a brilliant way to build confidence, spark creativity, and enjoy the magic of music, one strum at a time!
Halloween Disco

Spooktacular Family Halloween Disco!
Get your costumes ready and join us for a frightfully fun Halloween disco! Children (and their grown-ups) are invited to dance away to spooky tunes, show off their best monster moves, and enjoy a ghoulishly good time together. With plenty of music, laughter, and Halloween spirit, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season. No tricks, just treats and terrific tunes!
Percussion play

Feel the Beat! Percussion Play Workshop
Join us for a rhythm-filled session where children can explore the exciting world of percussion! Using simple instruments like bongos, shakers, and castanets, they’ll discover how to make music through sound, movement, and teamwork. No experience is neede, just plenty of energy and enthusiasm! Together, we’ll learn fun rhythms, play along to popular beats, and celebrate the joy of making music as a group.
Games

Giant Games Fun!
Step into a world of fun and friendly competition in our exciting games session! Children can challenge themselves and friends with giant versions of classics like Jenga and Connect 4, while discovering teamwork, strategy, and plenty of laughter along the way. Perfect for all ages and abilities — no experience needed, just a love of play and a sense of adventure!
