VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for St Peter's Catholic Community Breakfast With Santa held at St Hubert’s Hall in Garyville
Planning is well under way for our Breakfast With Santa on Saturday, December 6th. While we love doing this every year, we cannot have this wonderful event without the help of others.
Volunteers are needed the week of the event to help with setting up and decorating the hall, sorting prizes, packing gift bags, wrapping door prizes, etc and working the day of the event.
We are especially in need of volunteers the day of the Santa Breakfast. We need help with prepping and serving food, running games, managing the prize store and helping the children with crafts.
This is a great opportunity to earn service hours for those students who need them, as well as an opportunity for others to give back to our Parish Community during the Christmas season. As an example, I had a family a few years ago that came for about an hour and helped to set up tables and put on the table covers. A wonderful way to teach what Christmas is all about–giving to others.
I will be at the St Hubert’s Hall (Garyville) every day during the week of the event (starting December 1st). Please reach out to me through FB Messenger if you are able to help out during the week or the day of the Breakfast. Volunteers from other communities are welcomed as well.
