AHAVA

Throughout our walks as believers we often live with unresolved suffering, demonic cycles, heavy weights, and an undeveloped understanding of the love of The Most High. Too often we are stuck gazing in awe at the external things that Yah has created. But do we see that beauty within ourselves? Can we truly acknowledge how fearfully and wonderfully made we are enough to walk in it?

Can we be of service to the body of Yahusha if we are disconnected from the image of Ha’Mashiach within ourselves? How do we get to the place where we cease from cyclical striving and walk in who we are created to be? By the mercy and grace of Yah we are blessed to present this healing experience as an invitation to that rest.

The purpose of AHAVA is to offer both spiritual and psychological healing as a catalyst and call to deep change, renewal, and transformation. We combine Psycho-education and spiritual teaching grounded in the Scriptures to teach believers the beauty in surrender, ahabah love, and intentional living. We endeavor to create a sustainable space for vulnerability and release serving those who have unhealed wounds from past traumas, bloodline curses and “church hurt”.

These safe sanctuaries include facilitated exercises that focus on self-awareness, movement and connection namely through song, art therapy, confession, prayer, group discussions, one-on-one sessions and silent exercises involving personal examinations and reflections. Overall we aim to unveil the spiritual and natural/physical connections that lead to dis-ease in the body and common mental health challenges in assemblies everywhere. Don’t stand gazing when all of creation stares back, waiting for YOU to usher in the kingdom of Elohim in the earth!

This December started our first AHAVA series of workshops. We will have a different focus scripture for each event. This first part of the series will expand our understanding of Matthew 11:28 and how we can tangibly apply it to our lives. The next upcoming event hosted in Philly will be a continuation of the theme of rest according to the Matthew 11:28 scripture.

Info: "As Though They Were..." is an activity where participants will partner up in prayer, vulnerability, and honesty to share what they see in one another. The goal of this activity is to instill Yah's truth about self and get another set of eyes and hears to help you see yourself rightly, the way Yah has created you to be!

Info: The "Fish Bowl" is an activity that will entail participants coming together to answer questions related to their healing journeys and share possible hinderances to growth.

Info: Time for snacks, brief breathing exercise before entering back into activities and participants can take bathroom break if necessary.

Info: "I Will Give You Rest" is a quiet reflective activity. Participants will meditate on scripture and write a letter to Yah. The purpose of this activity is to share what's on their hearts, surrendering both burdens and desires to Him.

Info: "Standing in Agreement" is an activity where all participants will come together in a circle with one person at the center. It will be an opportunity for the group to touch and agree with the truth they’ve learned or cast down the lies they believed on one accord. “Trust Fall” is visual example by our facilitators of a trust fall to show that Yah will always step in to break our fall and extend a ram in the bush.

Info: "Melody of My Heart" is a collective exercise where participants gather and share the song of their hearts. Whoever desires to bring forth a sound or melody is free to sing out as other participants join along. The goal is to end up with one sound of gratitude lifted up to The Most High.
