Stuff Inside My Head: A Mental Health Thing!

As part of the “Unspoken” art exhibition, Drinking Gourd Gallery, Southeast Regional Library and the Wake County Public Libraries invite you to join us for a community-centered experience that shines a light on men’s mental health through the lens of art and live performance.*

Written by poet, author, and playwright Michael Garcia, Stuff Inside My Head is a groundbreaking play that combines poetry and social commentary to address and confront the stigmas that continue to plague men of color and their mental health.

If you're a mental health professional, counselor, or advocate, then join us on Saturday, June 28 (3PM sharp!) for this special event that will provide you with an opportunity to share your insights on the current state of the mental health issues that impact Men.

If you’re an actor and/or a theatre lover then, not only will you experience a taste of Stuff Inside My Head – the stage play that is making a difference in the mental health space, you’ll participate in the talk back session that immediately follows the performance.

Trust me, the dialogue is authentic, poetic, and raw, just like we do it in Harlem - straight, no chaser!!!

So, here’s the question:

“Three friends meet in an apartment in Harlem, what could go wrong?”
