Did you know there’s a U.S. Steinholding Association dedicated to the ancient German tradition of steinholding, also known as the more easily pronounceable Masskrugstemmen? It’s an Oktoberfest staple, and we are an officially sanctioned competition site for the US Steinholding Association.
We are in our 4th year of the Steinholding competition and the fun keeps getting better. And it’s easy - sorta. All you have to do is hold your arm outstretched for as long as you can while holding a liter of beer - about 5 pounds. And to win you just have to do it longer than anybody else. Feeling tough? Join us on Saturday, September 27th at 1:00 PM for Gardner’s official Steinholding Competition, featuring both Men’s and Women’s divisions! The winner of each division qualifies to go to the state finals the following weekend at Jack’s Abbey Brewery in Framingham. 💪
This is for everyone. Come out and be strong for 3 minutes - that’s all it takes! It’s a serious a serious prize — if you win, the stein is yours! And it is beautiful.
No pre-registration needed; just be ready to compete at 1:00 PM sharp. We can only fit so many on the stage, so if you want to do this be ready to jump up there. There is only one round for each division.
