About the event

Shaping the Invisible: Windsock Workshop
Through a windsock making workshop artist in residence Nina Elder will lead us in an exploration of what invisible forces we live with. Windsocks make the wind visible! Together, we will become amateur geologists, speculative meteorologists, and creative experts through our personal experience of landscape. This will be an opportunity to play, explore, move, and see the air around us in entirely new ways. At the end of the workshop, we will go to Esther Simplot Park to unfurl our windsocks, and experiment with Nina's sculptural wind tools.
