We are thrilled to announce our inaugural speaker, Sorcha McEwan. Sorcha is a Cultural Historian, Neuroanthropologist and a lifelong student of human consciousness. Sorcha has lectured internationally on cultural mythology, comparative religion, the occult sciences, the Pagan traditions, witchcraft, and the history of the Goddess religions. Mary Magdalene: The Bride in Exile is part two in a four part series on the Great Goddess.​​ You do not need to have seen part one to enjoy and understand part two.

About this Lecture:
Mary Magdalene is central to the Gospel stories of Jesus and was essential to his 3 year ministry. Yet the reasons for her primacy and influence remain obscure. Who was this woman? How did she come to be known as the Apostle of the Apostles? And what were the circumstances after Jesus's death that led, eventually, to her being named and vilified as a prostitute? In this lecture we will examine what biblical literature says about her, what the Gnostic texts reveal and discuss how her mystery directly informs her recent re-emergence as a sacred archetype and as an embodiment of the Divine Feminine.
