Book Launch with Jon van Tamelen - "Fire and Water: the loss of the yacht White Eagle"
Jon has a passion for travel. Since the age of 16 he has been making "trips" by canoeing, hitch-hiking, sailing, delivering vessels from port to port and in any other way to keep wandering. In 1986 Jon and his mate Sara launched the S.V. Moya, a 36-foot steel sloop, which they built over a period of three-and-a-half years. Since that time Moya has logged 70,000 deep sea miles. Moya has been home-base since her launch 40 years ago.
