In this accessible and reflective talk, local artist and technologist Leo Chan explores AI as a creative tool rather than a replacement for human imagination. Drawing from his own artistic practice using language models and image-generation tools, he explains in plain language how these systems work, clarifies their real limits, and shows why qualities such as taste, intention, and lived experience remain central to meaningful creative work.
The evening is designed as a shared exploration rather than a technical lecture, with generous space for open discussion and questions. Welcoming teenagers through seniors, this talk invites curiosity, reflection, and conversation about how we can engage thoughtfully and creatively with AI. No technical background is required.
