The New Noise: Groev, Rosie Connelly & Johnluke

GROEV

Groev (pronounced “Grove”) are a Galway based indie band made up of Joe Sweeney, Rory O’Regan, Evan Forde, and Jack Lennox. Known for their emotionally honest, stripped-back performances and charm, they've quickly built a loyal following across Galway, supporting acts like Brad Heidi and Jamie McIntyre. Their debut single “Ben & Jerry’s,” a heartfelt tribute written by frontman Joe Sweeney, has struck a chord with listeners, earning the band over 11.8k monthly Spotify listeners within a month of its release. With more music on the way, this is only the beginning for Groev.

ROSIE CONNELLY

Rosie Connelly is a Galway based singer songwriter who has been performing in Galway both in bands and as a solo act since 2019. Influenced by Adrien Lenker, Mitski and all your other favourite sad indie folk women, her music will tug on heart strings while also becoming your favourite ear worm. She is currently working on and recording an album of her own, as well as being a proud member of the Sulk Hogan ensemble.

JOHNLUKE

Johnluke is a singer/songwriter and musician from Portumna, Co Galway. His debut single "Already Been told" was released in March 2024 with no fear of running out of ink he has an encyclopedia of songs for the world to hear. Johnluke's music signature comes with a genre bending pop/folk/country style in with that a natural passion for storytelling, his heartfelt lyrics with a blend of captivating melodies creates a soulful sound within his songs that resonates with all ages.
