Dylan Francis is a native Texas artist whose work transforms glass into dimensional, dreamlike dioramas. By layering multiple panes of glass, he creates depth and movement inviting viewers into scenes that feel both surreal and intimate. Each piece becomes its own portal, rich with layered meaning and visual intrigue.
His compositions blend nature, geometry, iconography, and surrealism, drawing inspiration from classic dioramas and the hidden structures of the natural world. Glass is his canvas, but his background in carpentry, etching, stained glass, museum fabrication, and custom framing informs every cut and contour.
Since the early 2000s, Dylan has been developing his signature style of layered glass sculpture. Over the years, his work has been featured in galleries, festivals, restaurants, bars, and private collections across Houston and beyond. Though his creative journey has crossed many mediums, he now devotes himself fully to this immersive glasswork, his original passion and ever-evolving obsession.
