Full Moon Star Gazing Paddle

Experience the magic of the Cosumnes River at night! Join Wild Spirit Recreation for a peaceful evening paddle under the moon and stars. We’ll glide through the calm waters of the Preserve while naturalists share stories of the night sky, local wildlife, and the unique ecosystem of California’s only remaining free-flowing river from the Sierra Nevada to the Delta.

What to Expect

• Guided twilight paddle through the Preserve
• Star gazing and constellation spotting
• Wildlife sightings and natural history highlights

What to Bring

• Comfortable layers for cool evening temperatures that you don't mind getting wet
• Headlamp or small flashlight (red light preferred)
• All gear - kayak, paddle & PFDs will be provided

Details & Requirements

• Skill Level: Beginner-friendly; basic paddling experience recommended
• Age: 12+ (minors must be accompanied by an adult)
• All participants are required to wear a Coast Guard–approved life jacket (provided if renting).
