Songwriters Showcase featuring Carol Montag and Simple Company

Our Aug 2025 Songwriters Showcase shares the original music of regional singer songwriters Carol Montag and Kurt Kieffer and Jordan Kieffer of Simple Company.

Singer/songwriter Carol Montag has been described by folk music legend Tom Paxton as a “genuine discovery” and “the best thing to come out of Iowa since Bonnie Koloc.” Her influences include Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Eva Cassidy, Julie Andrews, John Denver, and James Taylor

Simple Company, a band out of Cuba City, Wisconsin, is known for their lively rock, country, pop and blues renditions. Featured are acoustic duo songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist Kurt Kieffer and vocalist Jordan Kieffer.

The Showcase will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Otherwise held in the performance space at the Galena Center for the Arts. Udderly Delicious Ice Cream Truck will be on site.
