The Color Purple

The Color Purple musical, based on Alice Walker's novel, tells the story of Celie, a young woman in the early 1900s rural Georgia, who endures hardship and abuse but ultimately finds strength, love, and self-discovery. The musical follows her journey through trauma, heartbreak, and betrayal, as she learns to embrace her own voice and power. Through the support of other strong women like Shug and Sofia, Celie's life transforms as she reclaims her identity and finds happiness.
