Come hear a voice from Gadsden's past at A Walk Through Time as modern citizens dressed in period clothing portray some of our most interesting residents from bygone eras at Forrest Cemetery.
This year's theme is "There's Music in the Air" as we highlight some of Gadsden's most famous musicians.
This is a FREE event, but donations are accepted and greatly appreciated. All proceeds go toward the preservation of the cemetery, and the event has raised more than $110,000 over the last 15 years.
Parking is at the old Gadsden High School located at the corner of Walnut and S.12th St. From there, city trollies transport patrons back in time to the cemetery where they stroll at their leisure.
A limited number of carts follow a circuit for those who tire easily.
For handicapped or elderly patrons a portion of the characters can be seen throughout the afternoon in the chapel.
In case of rain, the event will be held the following Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.
