About the event

恵林寺　降誕会（花祭り）
４月８日『降誕会（ごうたんえ）』、御釈迦様の誕生日です。
お釈迦さまは、今からおよそ2500年前の4月8日、現在のネパール南境・ルンビニーの花園でお生まれになったと言われています。
その誕生日は『花祭り』として御祝いされます。花まつりは、お釈迦さまのお誕生をお祝いする行事で「仏生会」ともいいます。
恵林寺では、『花祭り』は旧暦にあわせて、５月８日にお祝いたします。
花御堂の中に浴仏盆と呼ばれる水盤に、お釈迦さまの誕生したときの誕生仏がございます。
その頭上に竹の杓で甘茶を皆さんでかけていただきます。
今年も下記日程で、行いますので、ぜひお越しください。
本年はまた、あわせて、『降誕会特別朱印』を御用意いたしました。
