Introduction to Ayurvedic Herbal Medicine Traditions

In this class we will discuss basic principles and herbs of the Ayurvedic herbal medicine tradition of India. We will discuss the doshas and energetics of herbs and people, and herbs that are used in Ayurveda to help balance conditions, support our immune and nervous systems, and help support a healthy stress response and improved sleep quality. We will sample Tulsi tea, Chyawanprash herbal jam, and Ashwagandha milk, and enjoy some treats that will be made in class that contain Ashwagandha, and discuss growing methods for adding some of these plants to your herb garden. The fee for this class is $35 which includes a handout, tea and treats.
