Author and Entrepreneur Sam Goodwin, “Saving Sam"

A gripping testament of resilience, family, and faith, this is the incredible story of an American traveler captured and wrongfully imprisoned. What would you do if your son suddenly disappeared? Would you contact the FBI? The State Department? When the unthinkable happened, the answer, in the case of the Goodwins, was: all of the above. Their 30-year-old son Sam, who was attempting to travel to every single country on the planet, vanished in a supposed safe-zone on the Turkish border. Increasingly terrified, the Goodwins realized they were going to become their own detective agency, exhausting every resource until eventually – by nothing short of a miracle – they brought their son home safely.
