Bioblitz: Mothing

Step into the wild after dark! Join us for Mothing Night, where we’ll explore the fascinating world of nocturnal insects. Using special UV lights, we’ll attract and observe moths and other nighttime species as part of a Mothing BioBlitz, a snapshot of the biodiversity in Frisco. You can expect to see moths and other nocturnal insects up close, learn how to use the iNaturalist app to record observations, and help us document species that call Frisco home!

Where: Behind the pond at Frisco Commons Park
No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity (and maybe some bug spray)

What is a BioBlitz?
It's a fun, fast-paced way to discover and document the plants, animals, and insects living in our parks. Using the iNaturalist app, participants will help record observations that contribute to real scientific research. Let’s get outside, learn about local biodiversity, and celebrate the pollinators that keep Frisco blooming!
