Rooted in Creativity 🌀 at the River
with Alex Colvard

Join us for some therapeutic expressive art making designed to help you tap into your creativity through movement, storytelling, and spontaneous art-making—all in the inspiring setting of the river.

We’ll begin with a grounding exercise, visualizing creativity as a flowing river. In our “Ripples of Inspiration" activity, we’ll share words that capture our creative energy and release them into the water. Then, through "Flow State Art," we’ll use art materials to create intuitive, expressive pieces guided by the river’s rhythm.

Our guest facilitator Alex Colvard (they/them) is a creatrix, educator, and an Expressive Arts Therapy grad student at California Institute of Integral Studies. They led Expressive Art workshops at Scarab Creative Arts downtown Fresno sporadically throughout the year and can be found on Instagram @bcdmagic. Alex strives to Be, Create, and Discover Magic - and hopes to help others to discover the magic within themselves and the world around them!
