We are excited to announce that the renowned WA Day Festival Fremantle is returning to the stunning Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour and Bathers Beach!
It will be the perfect setting for the award winning WA Day Festival Fremantle which will inspire the Western Australian
community to come together to celebrate, share and value cultural diversity. The festival will showcase the traditional and contemporary face of our multicultural Australian community through music, performance, theatre and hospitality and provided a stimulating cultural experience to all participants and attendees.
It will be a celebration of all Western Australians, recognizing our Aboriginal history, early European settlers and the many from all over the world who have made, and continue to make, Western
Australia their home.
The 2025 WA Day Festival entertainment program will present an exciting, dynamic, colourful and energetic panorama of Western Australian professional artists who represent our unique Western
Australian multicultural community and compliment the majestic Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour and iconic Bathers Beach.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of the harbour and beach, artists will represent Oceania, Asia, Europe and South America in a colourful, exciting and energy charged representation of our Western Australian multicultural community.
Performances will be presented throughout the harbour and Bathers Beach, including Mews Park, Little Creatures Brewing, Cicerello’s, Bathers Beach House, Char Char Restaurant + Bar, Kailis Fish Market Café and the grassed area in front of the WA Shipwrecks Museum.
‘Festival Carnivale’ will be presented at Bathers Beach. comprising of specially curated bands and artists including singers, musicians and dancers who will bring to the festival a mix of high octane energy, a comprehensive Latin American music programme,
choreographed dance numbers, lavish costuming and the theatre of “Carnivale”.
Theatrical characters including professional dancers and musicians representing our multicultural heritage and culture will perform throughout Mews Park, Bathers Beach, Little Creatures and the WA Shipwrecks Museum.
A specially curated comprehensive entertainment program highlighting a sea of cultures will be presented and featured in the cultural regions within the festival venue and on stages throughout the festival grounds.
The electrifying “Eighties Arena Show “ and Latin band featuring the music of Santana, Gypsy Kings and Buena Vista will generate an electric party atmosphere at Mews Park and Candela will be performing enduring Latin pop hits at Bathers Beach. Glamorous Venetian characters, Chinese characters, fiery Tarantellas, Zorba the Greek and exhilarating Can Can dancers will ignite the stage. The renowned exciting 50 metre long Dragon Dance will mesmerize with astounding feats.
A dedicated children’s program featuring unicorns, mermaids, craft activities at the WA Shipwrecks Museum will presented throughout the day, and glamorous fashion parades with our Vintage Belles will burst onto the boardwalks of Bathers Beach.
In the magnificent setting of Bathers Beach, the WA Day Festival is set to become an unforgettable event with the stunning participation of elder James Webb and Wadumbah Dance Group who will bring alive the centuries old traditions of First Nation Culture in a visually spectacular performance that will guarantee a breathtaking experience.
An amazing array of cuisine rich in authentic flavours will be lovingly pre-pared by some of Western Australia’s top food specialists who will provide a tantalising selection of of global cuisine, from the award winning Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour and Bathers Beach hospitality venues to food trucks - A Melting Pot of Dining and Beverage Experiences awaits you!
