Welcome to join our next Blueback Freediving & Yoga ocean day that weaves sea life and local maritime history together!
This monthly community event is free for certified freedivers, or trained freedivers who have knowledge on standard safety & buddy protocols and alignment on ocean cultural values.

This year we will be gathering at North Mole, North Fremantle to explore the kelp ecosystem in the seas by the rock wall and on the route out to the shipwreck known to local freedivers as the “North Freo Barge”.
The site is a rocky entry, and 5-10m depth, so this is a freedive recommended for Level 1 minimum freedivers who are able-bodied to safely navigate down the steep rock Groyne to the water.
Meet us early at the concrete rampway that serves as a fishing platform by the carpark directly beside the public toilet block at the eastern end of the mole (if you reach the lighthouse, you’ve gone too far!!)
Make sure to come early to ensure parking (not much available close to the rampway unless you arrive early), and ample time to suit up.
**We have maximum numbers for this Blueback freedive community event, as meaningful safety management for open water sites such as this relies on qualified Blueback team and volunteer support.

All safety-trained freedivers are welcome to join in and be a part of a fun, nature-immersed ocean-centered action-packed morning of freediving and community.
Our 2nd event of Bunuru - 2nd Summer Season - is a community freedive on Sunday 8 March 2026. Please RSVP honestly (*GOING = Committed to Attend, INTERESTED = Not committed to Attend), so we can build our community volunteer and safety team to meaningfully manage the day.
