About the artist:
Rochelle O’Reilly – Defying Genres, Defining Music
Rochelle O’Reilly is quickly establishing herself as one of W.A’s most exciting and
genre-defying artists. In 2024, her song The Water won the Global category at the
WAM Song of the Year Awards, cementing her reputation as a standout talent.
Whether performing solo or supported by her dynamic band, Rochelle's electrifying
presence leaves a lasting impression, captivating listeners from Perth to Busselton.
Her versatility has led her to perform on some of W.A’s most notable stages, from
Fremantle’s Outernational Bob Marley Festival to the iconic Blues at Bridgetown. In
April 2025, she embarked on a regional tour showcasing her latest album, The
Hustler, which earned her a 2025 WAMSOTY nomination. This recognition
highlights her exceptional songwriting and her refusal to be confined by any genre or
expectation. Rochelle's music touches on themes of healing, empowerment, and joy,
drawing from the highs and lows of life to create a sound that is both deeply personal
and universally relatable.
On stage, Rochelle’s band delivers a gritty, groove-driven fusion of jazz, hip-
hop, reggae, soul, and blues, with a powerful energy that always gets the crowd
moving. Blending dynamic feminine and masculine forces, her performances
are as much about connection as they are about music.
Rochelle O’Reilly is an unstoppable force—defying genres and redefining what music can be.
