Abbe May delivers a very special Solo Songs & Stories double set at Clancy’s Fremantle on Saturday, August 9. Singing her songs in a raw, stripped back fashion from across her six album, two decade career as one of the country’s most respected artists, Abbe will also be unveiling new, as yet unheard songs from her forthcoming album “Wet Denim”.
Abbe’s Solo Songs & Stories promises to make you sing, dance, laugh and maybe cry just a little as she sings her songs and tells her often raucous and occasionally heartbreaking tales of a life of rock and roll, destruction, creativity, some semblance of redemption and a rather unexpected discovery of something kind of .. God like?
Speaking of Gods, her beloved Tuxedo will also be mentioned quite a bit, alongside the fact that she can’t quite let go of what she considers her glory days (2023 - when Perth Now called her Perth’s 22nd most powerful lesbian.)
This one is going to be very fun and special.
