About tonight's film (Danish below)

Our last screening of the season. And since summer and good vibes are coming up, we're gonna finish with a lighter one.

Vincent, a 27-year-old man with Tourette's syndrome, is institutionalized by his politician father after his mother's death. At the clinic, Vincent befriends Marie, who has anorexia, and Alexander, who has obsessive-compulsive disorder. The trio escapes the institution in a stolen car to fulfill Vincent's wish of scattering his mother's ashes in the sea in Italy, where his parents once vacationed.

This German road movie, directed by Ralf Huettner and written by and starring Florian David Fitz, received critical acclaim, winning several awards, including Best Picture and Best Lead Actor at the 61st German Film Awards.

Vores sidste visning i sæsonen. Og da sommeren og de gode vibes nærmer sig, slutter vi af med en lettere en.

Vincent, en 27-årig mand med Tourettes syndrom, bliver indlagt på institution af sin politiker-far efter sin mors død. På klinikken bliver Vincent venner med Marie, der har anoreksi, og Alexander, der har obsessiv-kompulsiv tilstand. Trioen flygter fra institutionen i en stjålet bil for at opfylde Vincents ønske om at sprede sin mors aske i havet i Italien, hvor hans forældre engang holdt ferie.

Denne tyske roadmovie, instrueret af Ralf Huettner og skrevet af og med Florian David Fitz i hovedrollen, modtog kritikerros og vandt adskillige priser, herunder Bedste Film og Bedste Mandlige Hovedrolle ved den 61. tyske filmprisuddeling.

About THE FILM CLUB (Danish below)

The FILM CLUB has been hosting film screenings inside the GARAGE for as long as the building has stood.

Every Wednesday, the group of film lovers transforms the concert hall into a veritable cinema and shows some of the very best (and sometimes rare) films from around the world.

The theme changes continuously, and this time it is all about the best movies that the film club never got to screen! Confused? Then attend the screening!
The title of the event is only a hint about the day's movie, because we must not reveal the real one.

So prepare to be surprised, excited, provoked and enriched.
THE FILM CLUB wants to invite both Danish-speaking and English-speaking city dwellers. Therefore the subtitles of the film screenings are always in English, just as THE FILM CLUB will initially give a short introduction in English.

As standard, we open the doors at 19.00 and begin the screening at 19.30.

Buy a beer/water or popcorn at the bar and settle into your seat. <3

Om FILMKLUBBEN

FILMKLUBBEN har holdt til på GARAGEN, lige så længe bygningen har stået.

Hver onsdag, forvandler gruppen af filmelskere koncertrummet til en vaskeægte biograf og viser nogle af de allerbedste (og til tider sjældne) film fra rundt om i verden.

Temaet skifter løbende, og denne gang handler det om de film, Filmklubben aldrig fik vist i løbet af sæsonen. Nysgerrig og forvirret? Så kom til visningen!

Eventets titel er kun et hint om dagens film, for vi må ikke afsløre den rigtige. Så bered dig på at blive både overrasket, begejstret, provokeret og beriget.

FILMKLUBBEN ønsker at invitere både dansksprogede og engelsksprogede byboere med, så filmvisningernes undertekster er altid på engelsk, ligesom FILMKLUBBEN indledende vil give en kort engelsksproget introduktion.

Som standard slår vi dørene op kl. 19.00 og sætter filmen i gang kl. 19.30.

Køb en øl/vand eller popcorn i baren og sæt dig til rette i sædet. <3
