Welcome to the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2025!
Three solo sets, one trio improvisation, one special evening of acoustic storytelling and genre-crossing folk-jazz. Come co-create with us a space of curious introspection, attentive listening and whimsical connection through original songs and improvisations. We will begin showcasing our three distinct voices in separate sets on acoustic guitar, piano, and more.
To close the evening, we will perform an improvised set together for the first time ever, to celebrate the spirit of the jazz festival. Stick around, have a drink, make friends and expect the unexpected!
ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Martin is a half Danish/half Chinese songwriter who writes captivating, yet at times intricate melodies, accompanied by lyrics that can be both shocking and harsh. By distilling the essence of storytelling down to its most basic elements – guitar and words – he creates a compelling atmosphere of everyday life scenes.

Horațiu Roman is an improviser and songwriter from Romania, on piano/vocals/synth. He tells stories that mix ridiculous and profound topics, like the meaning of life. Sad Songs for No Tomorrow, his new series of hopeful songs about despairing in a world thrown into chaos - extremism, misinformation, etc - will make sense of the sadness and the madness through a playful, joyful exploration.

UNDER MÅNEN plays acoustic music, that blends folk, jazz, classical musik and singer/songwriter. Different musical genres meet and something new and exiting appears. Tracks from the instrumental debut-record "Uden et ord" (2021) meets danish songs, improvisations and maybe a couple of evergreens. Read more at

The trio improvisation will be a completely improvised and fresh performance on guitar, piano, synth, and vocals, where the sensibilities of each artist, supported by our many years of music and soul-searching, will blend and create something completely new and magical, that floats somewhere above each of our individual voices in a sort of aether. The energy in the room is essential for the well-being of this gentle ethereal creature, so we invite you to participate and lend us your presence and attention.
