"Poetry Takeover" is a bi-monthly open mic event by Red Door and its project The Poetic Phonotheque, held at La Fee Verte, an absinthe bar known for its unique ambiance and focus on music and poetic encounters.
For this MARCH 27th event, we will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Poetic Phonotheque, with featured host Arina Trostyanetskaya, founder of Poetry Unleashed CPH.
There will be a sign-up sheet on-site, and entrance will be free. We usually do several rounds of one poem per round, and we take breaks for mingling, enjoying the bar's offerings, and networking.
The event provides a platform for both emerging and established poets to share their work in a relaxed, creative setting, so bring your latest writing, positive feedback is encouraged!
We welcome participants in all languages and often feature guest hosts and renowned writers. The evening is open to anyone who wishes to read, with sign-up available upon arrival. 3-4 min per round of reading per person, but we do several rounds.
If you don't want to read but enjoy poetry, you're welcome to come and enjoy!
