Kitchen Activist Workshop!

This is a workshop for anyone interested in joining our kitchen volunteer group! Whether you're interested in joining the volunteers running folkekøkken on Thursdays, making food for all the bands and activists at concerts, or just generally interested in what goes into making a volunteer kitchen run, this workshop is for you!


What to expect:

-At 14 we will meet in the Cafe and do a short introduction to the kitchen, including where to find things, general guidelines for kitchen hygiene, and how to work various industrial kitchen appliances (like the big dishwasher).

-Next we will cook a big vegan meal together, no better way to learn than doing! You'll also get a good understanding of how to estimate portion sizes when cooking for large groups.

-Enjoy the meal! We'll sit and eat together and answer any questions you might have about the kitchen in general or how volunteer shifts work in the house.

-(Optional) Meeting time! After the meal we can brainstorm more concrete things about the kitchen, this will be a bit more specific to volunteer structure in Ungdomshuset so no hard feelings if you want to leave at this point!
