Let’s celebrate one of the most beloved festivities of Northeastern Brazilian culture: Festa de São Pedro! 🎊
Saint Peter, known as the patron saint of fishermen and widows, is a central figure in the traditional Brazilian June festivities. On June 29th, especially in the Northeast of Brazil, devotion to the saint blends with popular joy: bonfires, typical food, folk dances and music warm the hearts of entire communities.
To honor this beautiful tradition, we've prepared a night full of culture, dance, and Brazilian music. Check out the program:
🎓 7:00 PM – Workshop with Michelle Pitte
An introduction to the history of forró. Come and learn more about this tradition full of faith, identity, and cultural resistance.
💃🕺 7:45 PM – Forró Dance Class (45 min)
Get ready to move your body! A fun and accessible class for all levels, where you'll learn the basic steps of forró pé de serra and feel the rhythm of the Brazilian Northeast.
🎶 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM – Forró Jam Session with Brazilian musicians based in Denmark
We’re opening the floor to local musicians! Bring your instrument, your voice, or just your will to dance. It’ll be three hours of live forró, improvisation, and good vibes to warm your soul.

São Pedro, conhecido como o padroeiro dos pescadores e das viúvas, é uma figura central nas celebrações juninas brasileiras. No dia 29 de junho, especialmente no Nordeste, a devoção ao santo se mistura com a alegria popular: fogueiras, comidas típicas, danças e música de raiz aquecem os corações das comunidades.
Em homenagem a essa tradição tão especial, preparamos uma noite cheia de cultura, dança e música brasileira. Confira a programação:
🎓 19:00 – Workshop com Michelle Pitte
Uma introdução à história do forró. Venha aprender mais sobre essa tradição, cheia de fé, identidade e resistência cultural.
💃🕺 19:45 – Aula de Forró (45 min)
Prepare-se para mexer o esqueleto! Uma aula divertida e acessível para todos os níveis, onde você vai aprender os passos básicos do forró pé de serra e sentir o ritmo nordestino no corpo.
🎶 20:00 às 23:00 – Forró Jam Session com músicos brasileiro da Dinamarca.
