We would like to invite you to a day of Contact Improvisation practice facilitated by Molly and Sebastian.
During the day we will guide you through some of our favorite CI work. The workshop will include basic tools for moving alone and together, time to reflect and time to go deeper into the the practice. We work from a grounded place with gentle listening and care into unfolding our inherent CI powers!
The workshop is open for all levels of experience. We will focus on fundamental CI principles, which will be suitable as a first meeting with Contact Improvisation, but which easily can also support a more experienced dancer’s process.
The day will start with a gentle check-in and warm up followed by two separate 2,5 hour sessions. As we round up the day we will open up the space for a afternoon/evening jam open to everyone.
The schedule is:
10:00 - 13:00: check-in, warm-up, session
13:00 - 14:00: lunch break
14:00 - 17:00: session, reflection, check-out
17:00 - 17:30: snacks
17:30 - 20:00: open jam
We aim to start and end the jam together and we will facilitate an introduction into the jam space.

About Molly and Sebastian
Sebastian and Molly are practitioners of CI through 10+ years and have their background in contemporary dance. On the dancefloor they carry with them teachers like Kirstie Simpson, Steve Paxton, Nita Little, Charlie Morrissey, Anya Cloud, Chris Aiken. They love teaching because it allows for a space where all kinds of bodies can participate in investigating the potentials and joys of dancing together.
