Westminster Bookmark's monthly reading series, 'The Catch-Up,' hosted by acclaimed author Fawn Parker, returns to the shop on Sunday, June 22nd, 3pm!
This month features readings from visiting poet Sheila Stewart, poet nancy viva davis halifax, and author and Petitcodiac librarian Danny Jacobs!

Danny Jacobs’s poems, fiction, reviews, and essays have been published in a variety of journals across Canada. His book of nonfiction, Sourcebooks for Our Drawings: Essays and Remnants
(Gordon Hill Press, 2019), won the Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick Book Award for Nonfiction. His debut novel, The Ignis Psalter (The Porcupine’s Quill), came out in April 2025. Danny lives in Riverview, NB.
Sheila Stewart is a poet, essayist, and educator and the author of three poetry collections, If I Write About My Father, The Shape of a Throat, and A Hat to Stop a Train. She grew up in Stratford, Waterloo, and Montreal. After teaching in Libya and Swaziland, she worked in adult literacy for many years in Parkdale, the west Toronto neighbourhood where she lives. She has a PhD in Adult Education and Community Development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Sheila taught undergraduate courses and in writing centres at University of Toronto.
Recently relocated to Fredericton, nancy viva davis halifax is a poet and associate professor in critical disability studies in the Faculty of Health at York University. act normal is their second collection, after their 2015 book hook.
